Liberty is sending kids to camp!

Ever since 2012, Liberty Ministries has teamed up with Camp Men-O-Lan, a summer camp in Quakertown, PA.  You may ask, “What is the connection between Liberty Ministries (a prison ministry) and a summer camp?”  Well, the answer is simple:  WE ARE SENDING KIDS TO SUMMER CAMP!

When adults make poor decisions that lead to incarceration, it affects not only themselves but everyone around them, especially their children.  While these kids are not responsible for their parent’s decisions, they inevitably have to reap the consequences.

Liberty Ministries hears the cries of these children and wants to do something.  One basic child-hood experience is going to summer camp.  Liberty wants to send these children there.

Each year, this is a step of faith for us because we do not have the funds to send these kids to camp.  We are asking you to partner with us!  Since the end of March, we have been asking all of our customers if they would like to donate $1.00 or more to support a kid to go to camp.  We would love to have everyone participate with us in this small way that will end up going a long way in a child’s life.  We will be collecting funds until the end of May.

Will you help us help these children?

Also, if you know of any child that had or currently has one or both parents incarcerated, please contact Kevin Jones at (610) 754-1898 so that we may contact them as a candidate for this program.

This year, we are pleased to announce that we are partnering with a second camp – Camp Sankanac in Spring City, PA!  You can visit the camp websites for more information.

I am sending this message to ask for more information about possibly being able to ask for help in sending my daughter to summer camp. I am a single mom working two jobs to support my family. Unfortunately my daughter’s father is incarcerated and has been for most of her child hood. She is a very brilliant 5 year old and will be 6 at the end of June. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Kim! Thanks for your interest in the summer camp program! If you could call us at (610) 754-1898, we would be able to speak to you and discuss this opportunity. Please ask to speak to Hilary, as she is the person in charge of organizing summer camp this year.

      Thank you!
